Itinerary Day 1: Arrival/Kota Kinabalu - Arrival at Kota Kinabalu International Airport (KKIA). - Meet on arrival and transfer to hotel. - Overnight at a city Hotel in Kota Kinabalu. Itinerary Day 1: KOTA KINABALU-KUDAT CULTURAL-LONGHOUSE Depart from your hotel at around 08:30 for a 2-hour ++ drive into the Northern Tip of Sabah, Kudat. Kudat is home to Sabah's most traditional tribal group, the RUNGUS (pronounced Roong-oose), which are fascinating and friendly people. A stop at Gombizau Village to see how the local honey is produced and buy some as a tasty sourvenir. Later, stop by at Sumangkap Village - a gong making village. Gongs are the major Rungus musical instruments. Next stop, settle at Bavanggazo Village to witness the lifestyle, culture and traditional costume and beads of the Rungus. Itinerary Day 1: KOTA KINABALU-KINABALU NATIONAL PARK Depart from your hotel at around 08:30 for a 2-hour drive into the Crocker Range. Enjoy superb mountain views as you travel to the Kinabalu Park at about 1,500m above sea level. Check into your accommodation and after lunch, we shall explore one of the many trails that lead through the tropical Montane Oak and Chestnut Forest. Overnight at mountain lodge or similar. (Lunch & Dinner) Day 2: KINABALU NATIONAL PARK-PORING HOT SPRING Drive to Poring Hot Springs, Lowland Dipterocarp Forest makes most of the vegetation at Poring and it is an excellent place to view lowland birds and some mammals. Enjoy a 2 hour river cruise in search of the odd nose monkeys of Borneo - The Proboscis Monkeys. Overnight at River Lodge in Sukau. ( Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner ) Day 4 After breakfast, depart for Sandakan. Proceed to the Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre, watch the feeding of the Orang Utans.

Proceed to the world famous Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre, journey will take approximately 30 minutes. On arrival, register at the reception counter and proceed to the Platform A to observe the daily 1000 hrs feeding of the Orang Utan. After witnessing the feeding, proceed to the reception centre for a 30 min video show on the centre. Depart Sepilok Orang Utan Centre to Sukau Village, journey will take approximately 2 1/2 hours. On arrival, board boat for a 5 minute transfer to the river lodge. Check in and lunch will be served at the main hall. Board river boat for boat cruise along the Kinabatangan river, the longest river in Sabah, to search for the elusive Proboscis Monkeys and other wildlife. Return to the lodge in the late evening. Itinerary 0900 hr  -  Meet on arrival or at hotel. Proceed for a 30 to 40 minutes drive via the old Penampang-Papar road to the southwestern part of Kota Kinabalu to the Lok Kawi Wildlife Park (about 25 km from the city centre). The Lok Kawi Wildlife Park, which occupies an area of 280 acres is one of the largest wildlife parks in Malaysia. Currently, the Park has more than 100 species of tropical animals comprising mammals, birds and reptiles. The park consists of two components: zoological and botanical, as well as a Children's Zoo. You will be able to witness rare animals like the endangered pygmy elephants, gibbons, clouded leopard, civet cats, tarsiers and orang utans. 1100 hr - Catch the entertaining Animal Show at the Park's Amphitheater (except Friday). You will find the park useful as it will be able to provide ample information thus spreading the importance and awareness of Borneo's wildlife and nature. 1230 hr - From the Park, transfer to a nearby restaurant for lunch.
