4D/3N Batang Ai National Park Homestay (EB-BAI01)

Itinerary Departure:      Daily    8:00 am     Ex -Kuching   Day 01            KUCHING > BATANG AI LONGHOUSE         (L & D) Meet on arrival at Kuching Airport, proceed journey overland to Batang Ai Boat jetty which take you approximately 4 hrs. On arrival, continue journey by longboat through the man made lake to an Iban Longhouse, which take you approximately 2 ½ hrs. Check-in at the Longhouse, joints the longhouse folk and observe their way of living. Try the rice wine call ‘Tuak” and joint them with their traditional dance. Overnight stay at Longhouse. Day 02            LONGHOUSE > NATIONAL PARK                                             (B, L & D) After breakfast, proceed to Lobang Baya Ranger post to proceed on trekking along the Nature trail where you can encounter animals and Orang Utan, also learn about the plants along the trails. Picnic lunch along the trails. Spend the whole day in the jungle before returning to the Longhouse in the late afternoon for Dinner and overnight stay. Day 03            LONGHOUSE > KUCHING                                  (B, L & D) Early dawn, proceed for jungle walk leaded by the longhouse folk to visit the padi field, pepper and rubber garden. GUNUNG GADING NATIONAL PARK

Mt. Gading National Park (EB-KCH07)

Itinerary Morning, depart Kuching City (Departure Time: 8.30 am) for a 2 hours drive to Gunung Gading National Park, located 120km north of Kuching. On arrival, proceed to the Park's Information Center to get an idea of the Parks' unique features before taking the trail through the primary forest amidst diversified flora and fauna to arrive at the blooming site of the world's largest flower, the Rafflesia, sometimes found to be almost a meter long in diameter. Get a first hand knowledge from the park's warden about this unique creation, a flower that stinks like hell. After the tour, depart for Pandan Beach located nearby, to relax, swim or beach scroll. Have lunch in Lundu Town before returning to Kuching City by mid afternoon. Skrang/Lemanak River Iban Longhouse (EB-KCH06)

Itinerary Skrang River Iban Longhouse is located roughly 245 kilometres away from Kuching. It can be reached by van/coach in 04hours and 01 hour by powered longboat. DAY 1 Depart Kuching by van/coach for Skrang River (234kilometres from Kuching). The journey will pass by breath-taking scenes of pepper gardens, farmhouses, cocoa gardens, rubber estates, padi fields, sago farms and rainforest covering the mountain range forming the Sarawak/ Indonesia border. Lunch enroute at Lachau Town. After lunch, continue your journey by van/coach to Skrang River. On arrival, transfer onto native longboat and cruise up the placid Skrang River for about an hour before reaching the Iban Long house. Tour the long house with your guide and study the 'unique' lifestyle of the lbans. A traditional Than Style dinner-sitting on the mats will be served in the long house. Brief Description of Itinerary Bako National Park is located on Peninsula at the mouth of the Sarawak River and it can be reached by van/coach in 35 minutes and a 30 minutes boat ride from Kuching. The coastline of the Park is indented with beautiful rock formations, steep cliff and sandy bays that provide excellent swimming ground. In this relatively small area 25 species of vegetations are found in abundance. Monitor lizards, wild board, deer, bird-c, monkeys (one of which is the Proboscis Monkey) and snakes can be found here in their natural habitat. Lunch will be served at the Park Canteen. Brief Description Dubbed as the Living Museum, the Sarawak Cultural Village is located 35KM from Kuching City and boasts of seven ethnic houses representative of the Malay, Chinese, the Penan and the longhouses of Bidayuh, Iban, Orang Ulu and Melanau. The village is built on a 17-acre site and all houses are replete with traditional crafts, tools, utensils and artifacts. You may browse around the village and observe the inhabitants display their skills in making traditional handicrafts such as wood carving, pua weaving and bamboo carving. There will also be demonstrations on blow-pipe makings by the Penans, sago refining and in the afternoon, there will be a colourful cultural performance in a modern air-conditioned theater. Brief Description A cruise on the Sarawak River provides an unique insight of the riverine of the life of Kuching. You will pass Tambangs, small house like boats used for ferrying locals across the river from the Malay Kampong built on stilts and also the fishing village. You will also have a full view of Astana, former residence of the Rajah Brooke and now the Governor’s residence. Fort Margherita, built during the reign of Rajah Charles Brooke is now a Police Museum is also on the visit list. We will cruise by the Satok Suspension Bridge before returning to Kuching City.
