Day 1: KOTA KINABALU-KUDAT CULTURAL-LONGHOUSE

Depart from your hotel at around 08:30 for a 2-hour ++ drive into the Northern Tip of Sabah, Kudat. Kudat is home to Sabah’s most traditional tribal group, the RUNGUS (pronounced Roong-oose), which are fascinating and friendly people. A stop at Gombizau Village to see how the local honey is produced and buy some as a tasty sourvenir. Later, stop by at Sumangkap Village – a gong making village. Gongs are the major Rungus musical instruments. Next stop, settle at Bavanggazo Village to witness the lifestyle, culture and traditional costume and beads of the Rungus. Evening after dinner, join in their merry making and enjoy the Rungus traditional dance performances. Overnight at Bavanggazo Village Homestay. (Lunch & Dinner)

Day 2: KUDAt BEACH-TIP OF BORNEO

After breakfast, drive to the TIP of Kudat, also known as Simpang Mengayau which means ‘lingering junction’. Reaching there is a significant achievement on its own as you have basically reached the very TIP OF BORNEO island. Kudat has some of the finest beaches in Sabah. Enjoy the scenic view of the beautiful long white beaches where two oceans – South China Sea and Sulu Sea meet. Take a lovely easy stroll to the flagpole, the Globe and the rocky outcrop that forms the “Tip of Borneo”. Overnight at accommodation at the Tip of Borneo. (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

Day 3: KUDAT-KINABALU NATIONAL PARK-PORING HOT SPRING-KUNDASANG

Depart Kudat early in the morning and detour to Kinabalu Park, where sits the highest mountain in Southeast Asia. Along the way, stop at Nabalu Village. After Kinabalu Park, drive to Poring Hot Spring, Lowland Dipterocarp Forest makes most of the vegetation at Poring and it is an excellent place to view lowland birds and some mammals. You may trek along the canopy walkway for a bird’s eye view of the Tropical Rainforest. Overnight at mountain lodge or similar. (Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner)

Day 4: KUNDASANG-KLIAS RIVER CRUISE (KUALA PENYU – Wildlife Cruise)

After breakfast, depart to Kota Kinabalu. Then head to South bound. You will also pass by Papar, one of the small sleepy towns in Sabah before proceeding to kampung KLIAS where we will start the river cruise journey after an afternoon village tea break. The most famous creature to be sighted is undoubtedly the bizarre Proboscis Monkeys. Late afternoon, river cruise to search for the elusive Proboscis Monkeys.
