First of all, proceed to the world famous Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre. The journey overland will take approximately 30 minutes. On arrival, register at the reception counter. Proceed for a 30 min video show and briefing on the Centre. Proceed to the Platform to observe the daily feeding of the Orang Utan (time: 1000 hrs). Depart Sepilok Orang Utan Centre to Sukau Village The journey will take approximately 2 1/2 hours by road. On arrival, check in at the river lodge. Lunch will be served at the main hall. Board river boat for boat cruise along the Kinabatangan river to search for the elusive Proboscis Monkeys and other wildlife. Return to the lodge in the late evening. Proceed to the world famous Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre, journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Depart for Gomantong Caves, journey will take approximately 2 hrs passing by Oil Palm plantations and villages. On arrival, take a 10 minute walk to the cave entrance of Simud Hitam. Explore these magnificent limestone caves, home to millions of bats and swiflet birds. Experience the whole activity of the turtle laying eggs and also covering the hole. In addition, experience the tagging of the turtle by the park ranger. Proceed to the world famous Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre for a unique Wildlife Tour. The journey overland will take approximately 30 minutes. The Centre was founded in 1964, to rehabilitate orphaned baby orangutans - most rescued from logging sites/plantations because of illegal hunting or illegal pet trade. In addition, you can visit the nursery area where the younger Orang Utans first learn to be outside and play on a large climbing frame.
