12D/11N Sabah Nature, Wildlife & Diving Adventure (EB-SAB02)

Itinerary

Day 1
Arrive at Kota Kinabalu International Airport and transfer to a Hotel in KK city.

Day 2
Proceed to visit Poring Hot Spring to visit the canopy walkway and dip in Japanese open bath tub. Transfer to a mountain lodge near Kinabalu Park for overnight. (B/L/D)

Day 3
Transfer to Kinabalu Park for Mountain climbing. Overnight at Kinabalu mountain mid-summit. (B/PL/D)

Day 4
Final ascent to the summit of Mt. Kinabalu and return to Park Headquarters for lunch. After lunch, return to Kota Kinabalu. Overnight at Hotel in KK. (B/L)

Day 5
Transfer to KKIA early in the morning for departure flight to Sandakan to visit the Sepilok Orang Utan Sanctuary. Later, proceed to Sukau village and check into the river lodge. After lunch, take a river cruise along the river bank to observe the Proboscis Monkeys and others wildlife. Overnight at River Lodge. (B/L/D)

Day 6
Proceed for Ox-Bow lake early morning to search more wildlife and birds before returning to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast, check out and return to Sandakan. Arriving at Sandakan, check into a hotel in town and lunch. Later, proceed for Sandakan city tour before retuning to hotel. (B/L)

Day 7
Free at own leisure. Overnight at a Hotel in Sandakan. (B)

Day 8
Check out and transfer to airport for departure flight to Tawau. Meet upon arrival, transfer to Semporna for a boat ride to a Dive Resort at Mabul Island. Arriving at Mabul, check into the chalet and lunch. After lunch, orientation dive. (B/L/D)

Day 9 – Day 11
Diving at Sipadan and Mabul island. Overnight at chalet. (B/L/D)

Day 12
After breakfast. Check out and transfer to Tawau airport for departure flight out of Sabah via Kota Kinabalu. Tour ends. (B)

Package Inclusive: All land/sea return transfers, accommodation (based on twin share basis, mountain lodge, river lodge) and meals as stated, all park entrance fees, tours and tour guide/Dive Master, and return domestic airfare (and inclusive of airport tax and insurance).

Package EXCLUDED: Any camera/video fees, and what ever not stated in the itinerary.

Tour Itinerary, Sequence and Final Rate subject to availability of spaces, accommodation at specified hotels, and tour sites.

Special Note on Diving at Sipadan:
* All divers must show proof of diver certification for each level and specialty before diving is allowed.
* All divers and snokellers will be required to sign a waiver form.
* Flying after diving (last day at resort) — The latest recommendation from DAN, Training Agencies, etc. indicates that you should wait a minimum of 12 hours and sometimes up to 24 hours after diving before you fly. However, SMART recognises that people, agencies and even computers and tables differ on this. If you choose to dive on the day you leave and fly, you will be required to sign a seperate Liability/Release Form (Waiver) to do this. You will only be able to do one morning dive; however, this is at the discretion of the Resort Management. The extra charge for the dive on the last day is RM50/USD14 per person/per dive.
