Itinerary

Day 1:

Pick-up in the morning and leave Limbang by 4WD to a higher ground of the junction to Stargate. From there, mountain biking begins up and down several hills until you reach the river. Packed lunch by the river side. The journey continues by river safari to Mentawai Ranger Station. You may have to push the boat during dry season, which is around the months of July till October. If you are not exhausted, one of the activities you can try out is tubing (using the inner tube of the cars) by the river bank. Overnight at the remote river station.

(Dinner)

Day 2:

After breakfast, continue your journey to hike along the famous Headhunter’s Trail for 3 to 4 hours or about 11.3 km in total distance. Upon reaching Camp 5, relax and enjoy viewing the scenery or perhaps dip yourself at the crystal clear running water and have a feeling of natural Jacuzzi. Overnight at Camp 5.

Day 3:

In the morning, proceed for the climb up Gunung Api to view the spectacular Pinnacles of Mulu. This is the toughest part of the journey. Allow 6 to 8 hours for the ascent and descent up the limestone mountain. Enjoy viewing the fauna and flora while climbing. The best view of the pinnacles is at the view point, about 1.2 km above sea level. Overnight at Camp 5.
