| Moderate: | The journey leads through country trails and main roads. We will not use off-road trails unless absolutely unavoidable. Accommodation where applicable is in general in hotels / lodges . |
| Average: | We try to use a minimum of main roads. The country trails we use may become challenging off-road tracks during the wet season, and the itinerary may change due to weather or road conditions. The accent is on meeting local people and accommodation includes local houses. Participants may have to forfeit the comfort of hotel and lodges |
| High: | The accent is on discovering the remoter parts of Borneo and off-roading is required. For these trips participants must be ready for unexpected changes in the itinerary due to weather and road conditions, or other circumstances. During the journey some physical discomfort and exertion may be experienced, and it is important to be prepared physically and mentally. It is essential to have a sense of adventure, teamwork and humour. Accommodation includes camping in the wild, foregoing the comfort of hotel and lodges, and staying with the local communities |
