Description: Jungles of 130 million years and coral gardens,
giant ferns, carnivorous plants and the orangutan. The charm of the
island that inspired many stories, lives intact and can be admired.
A Borneo on demand to book now.
TRANSLATED:
Kota Kinabalu, the capital, is the exact
opposite of what we expect: a string of modern hotels built
reclaiming land from the sea. During the Second World War, in fact,
the city was razed to the ground by the British in retreat, to
prevent the Japanese occupation. From here, we begin to experience
the new world of small samples. The excursion to the Mari Mari
Cultural Village propels us into the life of the main tribes that
inhabit the country. In the evening, meet at the Night Market on the
waterfront. We follow the (pro) smoke to the fish stalls, all with
barbecue.
