Abu Sayyaf threatens to mount suicide attacks vs. military

SULU, (ABS-CBN) -- Abu Sayyaf bandits are threateneing to mount what they call "sabil" or suicide attacks on military forces in the province.

Intelligence reports say Ghalib Andang alias Commander Robot and Mijib Susukan declared "sabil" after the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) cordoned-off the Sulu Island to prevent them from escaping.

The group under Robot and Susukan is said to remain intact with its high-powered firearms in the Talipao area.
