4 Abu Sayyaf men surrender

Interior and Local Government Secretary Alfredo Lim said yesterday that four members of the Abu Sayyaf have surrendered to the Department of Interior and Local Government-Task Force Katapat (TFK) IITask Group Mindanao.

Chief Supt. Romeo Maganto, commander, TFKII, identified the four as Enong Hamsajin, 44, Sahial Hadjula, 37, Kimih Sarri, 27, and Laling Dohgasan, 44, all of Kulasi, Maambong, Sulu.

In his report to Interior and Local Government Secretary Alfredo Lim, Maganto said the four surrendered to theDILG-TFKII-TGM led by Supt. Idjal Ganadawali andthe Sulu police office teamled by Supt. Candido Casimiro Jr.

The four, he said, surrendered and turned over their firearms to the government authorities last Wednesday. The firearms included four .30cal.Garand rifles.

Maganto said the surrender of the four ASG members was facilitated by a certain Alihaldar Hassan. (Elena Aben)
