53 Abu Sayyafs surrender, 3 nabbed in Sulu

ZAMBOANGA, (ABS-CBN) - A total of 53 Abu Sayyaf members have reportedly surrendered to the Philippine military's Task Force Trident this week in Sulu, while three others were collared, military reports said.

Some of the surrenderees however, were released after authorities found out they were not in anyway involved in the hostage crisis.

Task Force Trident also sought the help of the Abu Sayyaf surrenderees to convince their comrades still in hiding to surrender.
