release of Sulu hostages today
ZAMBOANGA CITY, (ABS-CBN) - Negotiators seeking the release of
the remaining six foreign hostages from the extremist Abu Sayyaf group in Sulu said the
planned release of the captives will not push through this Friday.
Sources cited differences within the Abu Sayyaf group on the
planned release prevented the move.
Among those reasons cited were the burial of a brother of one
of the Abu Sayyaf members and unusual military troop movements near the group's jungle
lair.
