The economic structure of Brunei Darussalam is one that is principally dominated by three main export commodities - crude petroleum, petroleum products, and natural gas.  Blessed with a seemingly inexhaustible crude oil resources as well as strategically placed in the region, the country has been relying on the export of these commodities for the augmentation of its financial coffer over the decades.  Brunei is currently the third largest crude petroleum producer in South East Asia, and the fourth largest liquefied natural gas in the world.
